Traveling with kids: why being a globetrotting mom blogger offers a wealth of experience – A guest commentary from the Matchmaking365-Community

The world is big and beautiful, and just because it’s there, it deserves to be seen. When browsing through travel magazines, most of us suffer from wanderlust. Traveling as a family means of course having to face trade offs, but at the same time it offers special rewards, that simply aren’t available in any other travel situation. Going on a journey touches your soul and teaches courage and tolerance. Discovering the world and different places together enriches your family, as you return filled up with new experiences and memories each time you travel somewhere else.

According to a recent study by Scarborough Research, 14% of all American mothers with at least one child in their household blog about parenting. The average mommy blogger is 37 years old and 89% of mommy bloggers have kids between the ages of 2 and 11.

Family travel blogger offer a wealth of experience

Many of these mentioned mom blogs are specialized on traveling. Being a mother of course teaches you how challenging travel planning can turn out for parents. On their blogs, moms share their personal experiences and best practices to help other moms and families so they can enjoy fun and educational family adventures. Many blogs provide you with quick travel check-lists, child-safety travel tips or vacation ideas for traveling families – traveling mom blogs cover all topics and issues that may be relevant.

Just a few examples…

Globetotting’s authors, Katja and Victoria describe their mission as follows: “You won’t find reviews of Disney here but you will find tips on how to visit Machu Picchu with kids.” Their blog is all about adventurous travel with children, from trekking in Nepal to climbing pyramids in Mexico.

Jamie from Travel Savvy Mom publishes a fun mix of reviews, tips and personal travel experience. “Traveling with kids can be daunting. We can help”, it says on her blog.

Evie, mother of Emmie and blogger on mumpacktravel.com points out, that the most wonderful thing is, that Emmie will thank her for filling her early years with amazing experiences, learnings and sights and sounds from around the world. And that’s what counts in the end: a happy family.
